Interior Designers Expand Horizons and Move into Fame with Product Design
Jiun Ho, Kevin Kolanowski, and Shannon Shapiro have had successful design careers for many years. Through client requests, and need in the marketplace, each has designed unique products that have been embraced by the press and the Design Community. At age 26, Jiun Ho was asked to manufacture a furniture collection from watercolor drawings for a private client in Asiathe result was the genesis of the Jiun Ho furniture collection. Kevin Kolanowski creates “Jewelry for the home”, incorporating semi-precious stones in his collection for Fuse Lighting, which is celebrating its third anniversary. With her Superstar clients demanding custom-designed and exclusive product, Shannon Shapiro’s Kiki Sconce was the genesis for Moth Design; renowned after only a year.
